What do Supporting Buddies do?

Supporting Buddies are higher-year students who are paired with a buddy seeking support in the social work programme. They share their knowledge and experiences of the programme, helping Supported Buddies to understand what to expect from the course and how to prepare. Supporting Buddies promote positive study habits and foster confidence and independence in the Supported Buddy. They also direct their peers to relevant university services and resources, while ensuring they maintain appropriate boundaries in their role.
